Everything you do, you do it all for your family. Don't you agree? So, the big question here is, are you keeping them safe? In case of an emergency, do you have safety measures in place? What if there is unpredictable fire at home and the main entrances are blocked? Do you have a back up plan? Do you have an emergency exit for your family to escape safely? If you answered "No" to these questions, you may be interested in doing something like this. For this home owner, we created an egress window opening for quick exit out of the basement. We constructed the window to make it bigger, we made the opening from the outside and as for covers, we used the lightest but the strongest rust free metal grates for easier escape. Not only that it is functional as an egress window, it gave the basement great lighting. It is also low profile, and hidden from the outside view for security reasons. Please take the safety of your family members seriously and reevaluate your safety plans if needed. Call us today for free estimate. 631-289-6450

Lex construction, inc. home renovation. improving long island living, one house at a time.10/2/2014 Here we have before, during and after pictures of a home renovation that we did in Long Island, NY. This was a beautiful living space already occupied by a beautiful family who dreamed of living in a much larger house. So whether if you are just looking to increase your living space or thinking of investing your money in your home, this might be something you can look at. We went from a one story home to two stories home. We added a larger kitchen and a bathroom. We added the entire second floor and we replaced the rear window with sliding doors. Entire home renovation took less than 3 months. This is another great example of how we pay close attention to detail. Look at the beautiful tile work done. The shower pan, the custom built floating bench seat, and the accent tile flowing right into the bench...What a magnificent work of art! Here we have a perfect example of how we take care of our customers. When we say we treat you like you are family, we meant it all. This job was recently completed by our Project Manager Mike and his team. The job was received with special notes, toward the end of July. We learned that we were remodeling the bathroom for a special guest that the home owners were expecting to have in no time. We had a set date for completion. That gave us a very tight schedule and left us with no room for mistakes. We treated it as such. Along the way, we ran into minor issues where the vendor shipped the tile to the wrong location. We also had a few other mistakes from vendors as they were expected in any type of remodeling. Not only that we adjusted and picked up the tile right away for free of charge, we were able to overcome all of the other obstacles and completed the project ahead of the schedule. We now have a new bathroom ready for the special house guest. Enjoy! Mr.Lichtenberger of Medford, NY recently took the time to write a review on Angie's List about his renovation experience with Lex. "Lex installed kitchen cabinets and moulding. They also installed a ceramic tile floor in the kitchen and Dining room. The quality of work was excellent. They were punctual and very responsive to any questions. I would not hesitate to use them again." Thank you so much for the kind words Mr.Lichtenberger. We are really honored that you trusted us with your Kitchen remodeling and we are very happy that you are completely satisfied. We look forward to serving you again in the future. We have a perfect example for you that you can look at. This particular job, the home owner did not want to do a complete demo / remodel of the bathroom but just wanted to enjoy a small upgrade with a little more space. To fulfill that wish, we did the following. First, we removed the old giant tub and replaced it with a beautiful white Acrylic shower base giving her that open space she needed. Then, we installed the Acrylic panels over the existing walls and ceiling, giving her that clean modern look she wanted. And to complete, we installed an acrylic window kit, grab bars, a soap dish, and a new shower body. Look at how simple the upgrade was that gave her a brand new looking bathroom. Enjoy the before and after pictures below! As always, thank you for reading our blogs and stay tuned for many more! Here we have a beautiful traditional Kitchen completed for Mr and Mrs. Zenni. They are so happy with the results that they asked us to share their experience with everyone on our media pages. First day of designing the kitchen, Mrs.Zenni made it very clear that she needed more space in her kitchen. To accommodate that, we started the project off with a full gut and redesigning the layout of the kitchen. We were able to extend the kitchen 2 feet out, giving her that extra room that she needed. We then installed a center Island for her with a built in stove top, giving her that extra space she needed on her countertop. To give her the traditional look, we installed just the right design and the right amount of cabinets, the lighting and even built a tray ceiling that she always wanted. We then took care of all the plumbing, electrical needs, and installed tile floors with radiant heating system. Not only that we were able to give Mrs.Zenni a kitchen of her dream, we did it in just 5 short weeks. The result? Another happy Long Island family with a beautiful dream kitchen.
